Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled full-time Manual Software Tester with 2+ years of experience in software testing to join our quality assurance team. The candidate should have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and software development life cycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through detailed testing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
Execute functional, regression, system, and usability testing across web and mobile applications.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools (basic knowledge is a plus).
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
Participate in review meetings and provide feedback on test progress and results.
Ensure the test environment is prepared with necessary configurations and data.
Create and maintain test reports and defect logs to track software quality metrics.
Stay updated with industry best practices and contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect life cycle.
Hands-on experience in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
Good knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
Familiarity with database testing (SQL queries for data validation).
Exposure to API testing using Postman (basic level is acceptable).
Ability to work in Agile and Scrum-based environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for quality assurance.
Good to Have (Not Mandatory):
Exposure to basic automation testing concepts.
Understanding of security testing and performance testing.
